Too Excited Not to Post...

After pulling off three of my best writing days ever—a total of 11,027 words—I've finished the draft of my fairy tale retelling! And I couldn't resist sharing. [EDIT: I'm an idiot. The link won't take you to my story, as my wording suggests. It's just an image. It'll be an indie- or self-published book eventually, if I can pull it off, which I expect to be able to do.]

Happy rest of 2011, and happy New Year!

  1. I clicked onto the picture, thinking that I'd get to read your newly finished draft--silly me! I hope you let us read it when it's all done, Jenna. :o)

With gratitude for your lovely blog, and best wishes for a Happy New Year!!

  2. Haha! Carrie-Ann, I forgot that picture would link off the blog due to its being on Picasa, which would naturally make things confusing. Better let me revise first. :) But I'm looking forward to sharing the story!

    Best wishes to you, too!

  3. Yeah, I too thought you were sharing your story. But sharing your joy is good too, I guess. ;)

  6. OH MY GOODNESS it's my wording. I said "I couldn't resist sharing."

Dang it! I'm really sorry, everyone. I'll never share a first draft--it won't happen; I must revise first. But I do intend to make the story available as soon as I can, probably through independent micropress or self publishing (novellas are so difficult to get traditionally published nowadays that for me, for this, it's just not worth the effort.) Stay tuned!
